Impact of WILD in Sierra Leone

   In 2015, ‘WILD’ began to gain grounds in Sierra Leone. For the past seven years, a year had not passed that we have not been holding programs in reaching out to the youth and leadership. Initially, when WILD was introduced to us, it was difficult to get ministers to embrace it.  Fortunately, with the assistance of Michael Davies, they began to put ministry in place. They started WILD activities in Freetown, the capitol, specifically at Redeemed Church of Christ where Pastor Patrick Fofana pastors.

   WILD activities have never faced a situation wherein the people failed to embrace its teachings. Since we started it, we usually have four programs in the year. 

   WILD activities have not been centered in one place, as activities have been held in the rural and urban areas of Freetown. We have also gone to the southern and northern provinces of Sierra Leone.

   WILD provided us a teaching manual. We have been duplicating such for the trainings. We have seen participants craving and wanting more of the trainings, praising the richness of the materials. With these materials, many have confessed how their mindsets and orientations have changed. They revealed how they got sharpened in their leadership skills and how they have found them to be better resources even for their personal lives and as teaching tools.
