The thinking of this world is ever changing, because most peoples’ thinking is based upon their imagination, the images conceived in their mind, and not on the immutable principals established by our Creator. We all have to choose, by whose authority do we establish what is truth? Either there is one and only one Almighty God, the Creator of all things, who said “I am that I Am!” Or, there are many gods who we look to, and serve. If we say we choose to believe the One and only true God the Creator of all things (John 1:1-4), then we have to believe that the true God also has that authority to set all the rules by which all creation functions! Otherwise we serve multiple gods, which obviously are and always have been in conflict ever since Adam and Eve brought the knowledge of evil into this world.
If we take the position that the Scriptures are from that One and only true God given to us, to inform us as to what is true about Himself and His creation, then we own nothing as the Scriptures state in I Timothy 6:7, “For we brought nothing into this world and it is certain we can carry nothing out.” In addition to that, God has said in Ezekiel 18:4, 20-22, “Behold all souls are Mine; as the soul of the father.
