STANLEY, Wis.
It was one of those divine appointments that only God could orchestrate. It was 1989, and Carol Mohr had come to the Word of Life Coffeehouse in Eau Claire to enjoy some music by Keith and Nathan Anderson - two Christian brothers who were performing there that evening. Carol, a rural Stanley farm wife and mother of four, ended up sitting at a table with a friendly, inquisitive lady, who handed her an invitation to an upcoming luncheon. It turned out the lady was Keiths mother, and the invitation was to the Christian Womens Club (CWC) luncheon sponsored by Stonecroft Ministries. After a few CWC events, Carol soon felt the Lord calling her to minister to women herself, and now shes been involved with CWC for twenty years, several of those years as a member of the board of directors of her local club.

Stonecroft Ministries was founded in 1938 and their mission is to equip and encourage women to impact their communities with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They accomplish their goals with monthly outreach events, such as brunches, luncheons or evening get-togethers called After 5s. Along with food and fellowship, there is always a special feature - perhaps a style show, craft or other demonstration, or a musical guest. The meetings are designed to help provide Christian women with a place to bring their non-Christian friends and neighbors. The atmosphere is fun, light-hearted and non-threatening, and the ladies feel comfortable, welcome and relaxed.
