Babies & Young Children in Heaven

Q: Will babies and young children be in heaven? Where in the Bible does it say that? I know it says we are all born with a sin nature. We have to teach children NOT to sin, but we never have to teach them TO sin. Sin will not be allowed in heaven, so how can even an unborn child, who has inherent sin enter heaven?

With a question such as this, we can be sure that there are a number different thoughts on this subject both from theologians as well as from individuals. We also might add to this list those who may be severely disabled in their thinking capacitythose who are mentally challenged and are much like children.

As for me, I feel the best place to start is at the beginningwhen exactly does human life begin? In the book of Jeremiah chapter 1 verse 5 the Bible is quite clear that life in Gods eyes begins in the womb even before birth. Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. This establishes the fact that God has a plan for each of us as human beings, right from the very start.

But now the question arises, if a tiny baby dies at an innocent age before they had any understanding of right or wrong, will God welcome them in Heaven? To answer that, we need to understand the concept of Original Sin -- the sin ...
