Sound, Biblical Advice for Young People

Q: What biblical advice can you give to young people who have now graduated from high school and will be entering college, or the Real World as young adults this fall?

For those who are graduating, there is a great deal the Bible has to say about Gods guidance as I will relate below; but these verses would be Gods direction for a genuine Christian or believer that has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. To those who do not walk with God, all I can say is good luck!

The first verse I would like to relate is found in Ecclesiastes 12:1. Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them; And Psalm 71:5. For You are my hope, O Lord GOD; You are my trust from my youth.

It is so easy for us to push God aside when we are young and seemingly have our whole life ahead of us and plenty of time on our hands, but Gods Word tells us how important it is to remember the Lord when we are young. Then we read in Proverbs 3: 5-6. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Here we find Gods promise to help keep us walking in His ways - if we acknowledge HIM in everything we do. ...
