What Are the Curses of God?

Q: Several times in the Bible we read that God curses people. Why would God curse people, and even the children and grandchildren of people? Can such curses be removed? What are the curses of God and what is this all about?

A: This question opens up quite a can of worms because we are talking about quite a number of curses as well as ways various ways that curses from God may come upon us. As we study Gods Word and understand more about Gods ways, we will soon realize that the majority of the curses from God are actually brought down upon us by our own sinful actions.

The Bible tells in Deuteronomy 28: 1-2 and 15 NIV.If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all His commands that I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God. However, if you do not obey the LORD your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come upon you and overtake you

If we look at the first fourteen verses of Deuteronomy 28 we see passages that people like to read and hearbut very few people would like to read the end of the chapter. God has to enforce certain requirements attached to the blessings: obedience of Gods commandments.
