Solid Advice and Bible-Based Solutions

My husband and I have been married for 4 years and last year we both became Christians and were baptized. We attend church every week and study the Bible at home on our own, but my husband still hangs on to his old lifestyle, listening to rock music and drinking beer on the weekends. He doesnt drink excessively and I believe he truly loves the Lord, but shouldnt his lifestyle reflect that more?

Every believer grows at their own pace. If your husband is reading, applying Gods Word to his life, and fellowshipping with other Christians that provide positive role models, he will grow. Perhaps the growth is taking place in other areas of his life. Its important to recognize these areas and provide encouragement. I believe it is very important to attend to ones own growth so as to not develop a fixation on what is wrong in someone elses life. Even if that person is your spouse.
The best place for your husband to discover and develop godliness is in a mens fellowship / Bible study group. There he will learn what it means to be a Christian man. Men learn to be Christian men from other godly Christian men.
