God’s Gifts Equal His Grace (Part Two)

   In the last issue I discussed from the Scriptures two of God’s gifts of grace.

   1).   The gift of all His creation. John 1:3, “All things were made by Him; and without Him (the son of God) was not anything made that was made.”

   2). The gift of His every word.  In Matthew 4:4 Jesus puts the utmost importance upon every word of God.  “It is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”  Many times the Scriptures refer to the words of God as living water, the bread of life, as well as the light of life.  “In Him (the Word, the Son of God became the Son of man) was life; and the life was the light of men…  That was the true Light which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.”  John 1:4, 9.

   3).   The gift of the Holy Spirit is the next gift of grace to look at, because without the quickening of the Holy Spirit, the natural man as we were created cannot even begin to comprehend the gifts which God offers so freely to us, but are as the blind fools which Jesus describes in Matthew chapter 23.  The Spirit of God is a quickening Spirit, able to give life with the wisdom to understand and know the difference between the knowledge of good and the knowledge of evil, being brought into the world by Adam and Eve. ...
