Cause and Effect

   Is Jesus Christ being presented now in the same way as when the original Christians introduced Him to be, or are other elements and objects being added or deleted from Him as being the only Cause and Effect for salvation?

   Let us investigate Cause and Effect.  Cause, as we know, is what which produces or provides Effect.  This could entail a very large list, but I want us to examine it in a Christian perspective.  Salvation is due to the fact that Jesus Christ is the only Cause for producing the Effect of it.  He alone is the Person one must receive in order to get the Effect of being saved.  The Effect then can be said to be produced by the Cause, and only in this instance, the Person of Christ.  As to provision He is priest, sacrifice, and substitute.  As to His ability to cause the effect He is the sinless Son of God sent by His Father as the Provision.  “FOR GOD SENT not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world THROUGH HIM might be saved.”  (John 3:18).

   One must receive the Cause, Jesus Christ, and then the result or effect a new birth takes place.  “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to BECOME THE SONS OF GOD, even to them that believe on His name.”  (John 1:12).  If you are God’s dwelling place then the Cause and Effect has been activated, and your eternal li ...
