'Do This in Remembrance of Me' (Part One)

   In the past eight issues I have brought to you from the Scriptures many of the gifts of promise that God has provided to meet our every need, all given to mankind whether we deserve it or not.  That is the abundance of His grace.  “From all of creation that “the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made,  even His eternal power and Godhead; so that (we) are without excuse.”  (Romans 1:20). 

   Yes, it is true some of God’s graces are limited by our choices, or our free will. We are always free to make choices, but we cannot choose the consequences as the result of our choices.  Since God has created everything, He has the absolute right to make all the rules concerning His creation.  But the greatest of all His grace is the fact that He has provided a way for us to enjoy all His abundant grace whether we deserve it or not.  The promise to Adam and Eve to make it possible for them and all mankind to be forgiven, at an appointed time planned before creation (Revelation 13:8), the price paid by the Lamb of God for the sins of the world, not only to forgive but to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (I John 1:9).  Until then, a temporary atonement, the blood of animals as a “signature bond” was provided.  Since the very beginning, God has given us many things to help us remember the ...
