Asking the Question

   Folks, I am all about doing.  That is why I am always recommending that you must DO.  It’s well past time to stop complaining and even cheerleading. Let’s get on the field and in the game, Amen?

   With that in mind, the following is a speech I gave to our local city council which came on the heels of my being harassed, shamed and discriminated against at a local retail outlet in our fair city. I decided to address our city council that same evening and here is what I said:

   “Thanks for the opportunity to speak this evening.  As you are all quite aware, things have changed drastically since early last year and as a result, many of the freedoms and liberties our founders gave their all have been severely restricted, and in too many cases, forfeited. 

   “For instance, our ability to buy and sell is now conditional with many being offered accommodations akin to separate drinking fountains and ‘the back of the bus’ we saw given to the supposed undesirables and deplorables of the 1950s, and sadly then, as now, based upon assumed and questionable science.
