What Does the Bible Say About the Occult?

   What does the Bible say about astrology, horoscopes, and the occult? Sadly, even some Christians have even been caught up in these practices. But is it really all that bad for believers to dable in these things? 

   Following astrology isn’t something new. It has been around for hundreds and even  thousands of years. Any occult practices are  attractive because of our human desire to know the future and our desire to find meaning and purpose in life. Thousands of people worldwide check their horoscopes every day, trying to get insight for their day and week ahead. Even though most horoscopes are very general, people still believe there is some relevance to them for their daily lives. 

   But what does the Bible say? The Bible strongly condemns delving into the occult….horoscopes, astrology, tarot cards, fortune tellers, palm readings, spiritism, mediums, and even psychics fall into this category. 
   Deuteronomy 18:10-14 says, “There shall not be found among you anyone who burns his son or his daughter as an offering, anyone who practices divination or tells fortunes or interprets omens, or a sorcerer or a charmer or a medium or a necromancer or one who inquires of the dead, for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord. And because of these abominations the Lord your God is driving them out before you. You shall be blameless before the Lor ...
