White As Snow

   It is snowing this morning. The earth is covered with a white blanket. All the dirt and tracks of any kind are covered. It is beautiful! “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow: though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of he Lord hath spoken it.” (Isaiah 1:18-20).

   Get the picture? Sins as scarlet cannot be hid, or red like crimson are obviously something that cannot be hid! You are a very bad person and anyone who knows you, thinks of you as bad. They see you as someone that they do not want to get too close to because they do not want to be identified with you as a friend. 

   Well now, what does God say about you? Does God see you as someone to be ignored and refused? No, God gives you an invitation to “come” and He says to do it right now! He even appeals to your reason. He promises to cover that obnoxious red that everyone sees and make it as white as snow. He does put an “if” in the promise to cover the sins. “If ye be willing and obedient” is the condition. We ask “willing for what and obedient to what?”

   God provided a way for us to be saved. And you must be will ...
