‘Medical’ Organizations Demand DOJ Target Transgender ‘Disinformation’

   Three national medical organizations sent a letter to the Department of Justice under President Joe Biden, urging the department to “investigate and prosecute” those responsible for an alleged “campaign of disinformation” about controversial transgender medical interventions, which the organizations blamed for an increase in bomb threats to medical facilities.

   Republican senators responded with their own letter to DOJ  on October 10, suggesting that the letter represents an alarming trend of the government “quashing or criminalizing civic discourse.”

   Sens. Ted Cruz, R-Texas; Roger Marshall, R-Kan.; Mike Lee, R-Utah; Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn.; and Ron Johnson, R-Wis., asked Attorney General Merrick Garland whether he or DOJ officials under him solicited the letter, which the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Medical Association, and the Children’s Hospital Association sent on Oct. 4.

   They also cited a notorious Sept. 24, 2021, letter from the National School Boards Association, which urged DOJ to investigate parents who protested COVID-19 measures and critical race theory concepts at schools, comparing such parents to domestic terrorists.
