Spring is nearly upon us all! Here at Dynamite Harvest, located between Eau Claire and Wausau, the arrival of spring means getting the produce farm ready for action.
If you have been paying attention to affairs in our nation, then you know that all of us need to be ‘ready for action.’ The culture is turning toxic, our own Federal government is cracking down on Christians — and dissent in general, and things we could take for granted just three years ago are now a concern: will there be food on the grocery shelves a month from now? If there is will we still be able to afford it? We still have to pay rent, pay higher prices for gasoline and heating oil, and do everything in an environment where the value of the U.S. dollar is getting lower, and lower.
Being ‘ready for action’ right now means preparing for just about anything. Every day, it seems that the preppers are right — or will be proved to be right at any moment.
Meanwhile, there is a real danger that in order to acquire the basic necessities like food, housing, and energy, one may have to engage in great moral compromises. For example, if you don’t support the trans agenda, you could be ‘canceled’ or fired, depriving yourself of the income you need to support your family. There is the ongoing issue wherein our tax dollars are going to support abortion providers. Not to mention the fact that we buy so many things from China, which, even as I write, is throwing ethnic minorities into actual concentration camps… and doing things in them that humanity had said once would happen ‘never again.’
It is becoming more and more evident that any hope we might have as Christians that we could separate our spending from the evils of the world is fading fast. Today, our own necessities — our daily bread, as it were — are produced for us by tyrants and totalitarians that no Christian in good conscience would support. But, as they are necessities… well, increasingly, we have to do the world’s bidding.
It is because of these considerations that I started my produce farm in the first place. When push comes to shove, I know that I can stand on my principles, without risking starvation. Hunger drives desperate people to do desperate things. I don’t want to be one of those people.
If you’re reading this, I am guessing that you don’t want to be one of those people, either. That is why I am inviting you to buy your produce from local farmers who share your values, and I’d like to throw Dynamite Harvest into the mix for you to consider. We are now taking on new ‘CSA’ members for the Spring, 2023 season. In other words, folks can make an upfront payment and know they will get fresh produce all summer long. Check us out at www.DynamiteHarvest.com.
Even if you don’t join us at Dynamite Harvest in being ‘ready for action’ in our increasingly polluted world, I hope that you are making the necessary preparations. If ever there were a time to cultivate ‘parallel economies,’ it is now. Start getting your food from places other than the grocery store, preferably from local farmers. No doubt, there are other necessities you could source from local Christians, as well. Now is the time to establish those connections, because the moment for action could come at any time. Even, possibly, today.
