More than ever, you live in a culture that encourages involvement in activities that go against the nature and attributes of who God is. Doing the wrong thing is the accepted norm. For discussion purposes, sin is doing something that goes against who God is, His nature and how He is made up.
Access to negative and wrong behaviors is easier than ever. As a young person, you are encouraged to be your own standard of what is right and wrong. It seems you are doomed as a young person to fail, because many people expect you to do so. There is no way out, no chance to stay pure, to not get messed up with alcohol and drugs.
Christians often take a flimsy view of how God views sin. Sometimes Christians are heard saying that we should not bring up certain sins because we should not talk about such things with young people because it will drive them away from church. But I believe your generation wants to know the truth and you are able to handle the truth.
