Police Shut-down Event Promoting U.S. Constitution -- Thomas More Law Center Files Lawsuit Against CAIR-Michigan

Christian Newswire/ -- In the middle of an event to extol the virtues of the U.S. Constitution and "American Laws For American Courts," the audience learned first-hand how easy it is to lose their freedom of Speech and Assembly.

Amid shouts of "What about free speech?" from the audience, the Allegan Police Department ordered the event shut-down. School officials notified police that they had received a letter complaining about the event from Dawud Walid, Executive Director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MI). The letter asked the school to disallow the event despite an existing contract. CAIR was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorism funding trial in U. S. history, U.S. v. Holy Land Foundation.

California Legislature Attempts to Legalize Abortion by Non-Physicians

Christian Newswire/ -- In February, Senator Christine Kehoe (D-San Diego) introduced Senate Bill 1338, which if enacted would allow non-physicians to perform abortions after training provided pursuant to the Health Workforce Pilot Project #171 (HWPP). $3.5 Million for the HWPP program is funded by a non-disclosed private foundation and SB 1338 wassponsored by Planned Parenthood Affiliates of California, the American Civil Liberties Union of California, ACCESS Women's Health Justice, NARAL Pro-Choice California and California Latinas for Reproductive Justice. Last month the Life Legal Defense Foundation (LLDF), using the California Public Records Act, requested information to learn the names of the doctors performing the training and those already trained. According to the ACLU of Northern California dozens of people have already been trained as part of multi-year pilot project conducted by the University of California, San Francisco at numerous health centers across the state.

Laos Padlocks Another Church At Start of Easter Services

(April 10, 2012) - Laotian officials, who were in town for three-days of anti-Christian indoctrination, rounded up 136 local Christian families here during the Holy Week, and confiscated their church building on Good Friday eve.

Believers told the Southeast Asia director of Christian Aid Mission in Charlottesville, Virginia that they planned to continue Easter services in their homes despite government harassment.

"This is further confirmation that the Saybuli District officials have stepped up their persecution of Christians," says a spokesperson for Christian Aid. "The local believers have asked us to tell their story despite the serious risks they face from armed Laotian officials."

Obama's 'Religious Left' Folly: Using the Bible to Justify Homosexual 'Marriage'

Christian Newswire/ -- Americans For Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH) President Peter LaBarbera issued the following statement today on President Barack Obama announcing his support for homosexual "marriage":

President Obama's embrace of homosexual "marriage" (so-called) is surprising only in its timing. Most Americans do not realize that Obama was FOR homosexual "marriage" years ago as a State Senate candidate in Illinois, before switching to "Civil Unions." Now this president, like a chameleon changing colors, returns full circle to advocating "marriage" between people of the same sex -- as a public Christian, no less.

Obama's embrace of homosexual "marriage" (an oxymoron) completes his sellout of the American people, and of God, on this critical issue that speaks to issues far deeper than politics.
