Extraterrestrials Among Us?

Are we alone? I dont mean in the spiritual sense, but in the universe. Recently, I was asked if I thought that extraterrestrials existed elsewhere in the universe. Immediately I said that I did not believe so and that people who have claimed to see them were, in a word, delusional.
At the time, I was using common sense and also the fact that I had never personally seen a UFO and thus considered myself rational and not delusional! But thinking about it later, I wondered what does the Bible say about the existence of UFOs and little green men? Would God have the forethought to explain away the idea of E.T. flying around on a bike and proclaiming, E.T. phone home? Oddly enough, I think He did.
In Genesis 1:14-19, God created the sun, the moon and the stars. That in itself is amazing, but the purpose of their creation is the main point. They were created to serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years, and to give light on the earth. They were not created as a place to live, but they were created for our benefit. We are constantly bombarded about the latest discovery of life on Mars or in some meteorite. But, the truth of the matter is, scientists have not found any evidence of life outside of earth. Millions of dollars have been spent since the 1960s by SETI (Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence) to search for life outside of our solar system.
