What is the Unforgiveable Sin?

Please explain the unforgivable sin mentioned in Matthew 12:30-31...how do we know if weve committed that sin and is it true that if we did there is no hope for us?

The unpardonable sin....exactly what is it? And where can we read about it in Gods word? There are several Bible verses that tell about the unpardonable! Matthew 12:31-32 tells us, And so I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come.
Another reference to this sin is found in Luke 12:10 where it says, And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.
Now that we know where to find it....what is it? The unpardonable sin is often referred to as the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit which is unforgivable! First off...lets look at the definition of the word blasphemy.
