As a child, I grew up going to church and attending Sunday school. After moving to a different town, my family and I joined a new church. It was then as a young boy I received a water baptism. As I grew older, I went through confirmation and took first communion. Little did I know that none of these things mattered due to my lack of belief and love for the Lord Jesus Christ.
At the age of 27, I started my own business. Relationships were an “on again - off again” tendency for me. I took on the philosophy that working hard allowed me the right to party hard. Keeping a strong work ethic, making plenty of money, and being nice to people were the things by which I justified my salvation. I figured that I was “good to go” even without the love of Jesus Christ in my heart. It would soon be revealed to me that the life I was living did not please the Lord, but by His grace and mercy God would soon show this to me.
