Blameless

   How quickly do you seek forgiveness when you have done something wrong against another person?  Does someone have something against you?  Do you accept the forgiveness from those who have wronged you or do you have a tendency to hold a grudge?

   The first quality mentioned in 1 Timothy 3 is a person is to blameless or above reproach.  The New Living translation states a leader has a life that cannot be spoken against.  No one can find anything against you because if you ever offended or hurt someone, you made it right and reconciled, then dealt with restitution when there was that need.  In addition, you do not lord an injury or hurt over a person.  This does not mean a person is sinless, but when a sin occurs, it gets dealt with.

   When government officials in Daniel 6 could not find any fault with Daniel, they become very frustrated to the point that the only chance of finding grounds for accusations against Daniel was in connection with the requirements of Daniel’s faith in God.  They knew he would not compromise his relationship with God. 

   Daniel did everything above reproach.  He did not have any issues with those with whom he worked or served.  He had great abilities and King Darius knew Daniel was a man of integrity.
