'God's Plan, Not Ours - We Know No Other Way'

WAUSAU, Wis.
As owners of the Five Loaves and Two Fish Christian Book Store in Wausau, Todd and Sherry VanRyn, along with their five children, are a living testimony to the promise of Proverbs 6:22: Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is older he will not stray from it. The Christian walk of this unique family reflects how God molds the lives of His children when placed in His hands at an early age.
Todd gave his life to the Lord when he was 4 years old, was baptized at 12, and rededicated his life to Christ when he was 16. Sherry committed her life to Christ at age 8 and was baptized at age 13. All five of their children have dedicated their lives to Christ at an early age and serve their Creator in their own special way, as do Todd and Sherry.
I had parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles who all loved the Lord, Todd explained. It was not unusual
for us to attend church three days a week. At age 5, Todd accompanied his parents to Puerto Rico as missionaries. I was raised in a family where God definitely was a priority, added the Grand Rapids, Michigan, native.
It was important to Todd and Sherry that their children develop a personal relationship with their Savior, as they had. Sherry recalls how Todd would pray for their children when they were young. His prayer was that they would abide by the words found in Mark 12:30: Love the Lord thy God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind and all your strength.
