If You're Hot, Be Hot

   Rev 3:14-18 “And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: ‘The Amen, the faithful and true Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God, say this: ‘I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth. Because you say I am rich and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing, and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked, I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire, that you may become rich, and white garments that you may clothe yourself and that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed and eye salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see.’”
   With the influx of heresy and the apostasy that seems to be pervasive in Christendom today, it’s not surprising that there’s a huge push back by various ministries, bloggers, and individual believers. Neither is it surprising that new ministries seem to be forming quite regularly that are born solely, it would seem, to be watchmen on the wall. 
   Every form of social media is saturated with commentary about the condition of the church, and not surprising is the use of the letter to the church at Laodicea as the indictment against the church and explanation for the church’s seeming ineffectiveness against the tide of heresy and its current malady of shrinki ...
