Love Wins?

   After the latest Supreme Court decision on marriage, I saw a headline that read, “Love Wins.”  This is so much like Satan, to advance the love concept to cover something that in the Bible is called “sin,”  when, in fact, Satan doesn’t even know what “love” is!  He is a deceiver, a liar, a being whose sole purpose in life is to lead people to destruction, where he knows he will go someday.  My first thought when I saw the headline was that it should have read, “Sin Wins.”     
   We are not, or should not be, surprised when something of this magnitude occurs. Sin has been around forever; at least from the time Satan fell from heaven.  When mankind made the choice to listen to Satan rather than God, it assured our whole world that sin would be a very familiar thing to us all.  In fact, as Christians know, it was this fact that caused God to put the plan of salvation into effect, because without it, sin would win!
     We are all aware of our shortcomings, called “sin” in the Bible. So we cannot be smug with our lives, thinking we are better than others because we have not done “certain” things. We ask forgiveness from God for these failures, and refocus our eyes on Him so we can grow, and put these behaviors behind us.  This is the Christian walk!  But when society legislates “sin” as ...
