I know a great many people hate politics. But this is a Christian NEWS paper, and since we’re now in a presidential election year, whether you like it or not, politics is going to come up in the news. Sorry. And before I begin today, if you are a Christian who despises politics and any talk of it, and perhaps you feel Christians have no business involving themselves in such worldly endeavors, I need to tell you that the time for burying our heads in the sand and turning our backs on the nation we inherited from our forefathers needs to be over. This is a call to action. There has been a steady brainwashing of believers that we should have no dealings in the affairs of the state. Indeed, modern day pastors will not even comment, much less give Godly direction to the sheep in their care, who are left to wander about in utter confusion; and so is it any wonder we are where we are today, facing the very real prospect of transforming America into a Godless, socialist state?I remember when Bill Clinton was in office, and mired in scandal after scandal, and I thought surely, there was no way this man could ever be elected to a second term. Wrong. He was re-elected -- in a landslide -- only to be impeached shortly thereafter; but even after impeachment, he remained as popular as ever.
I remember the first time I heard someone speak Obama’s full name, and I thought they were joking: Barack Hussein Obama... “I know he would be a horifically awful choice as president, but honestly, that’s not REALLY his name, ... is it?” Yes, his middle name was, and is, Hussein... and it was a keen indication of where his loyalties would actually lie. “There is NO WAY,” I thought, “that in the United States of America, just a few years after 9/11, after our country has been fighting a bloody battle against Islamic tyranny, that we will EVER put a man with the name ‘Hussein’ in the White House.” Wrong again.
After four years of watching him cowtow to radical Islam, while bashing Christianity every single chance he got, after taking years of progress in the middle east -- paid for with the blood of American soldiers -- and flushing that right down the drain, I could see NO WAY this man could ever get re-elected to a second term. No possible way. Surely, Americans could see now that there had been a horiffic mistake made in electing this man simply to prove to ourselves that we are not racist. Wrong again.
In fact, at that point, we hadn’t seen anything yet. His work of fundamentally changing our beloved country wasn’t over. He still had to devastate the healthcare system, costing thousands of jobs and billions of dollars, further bankrupting the middle class. He still had to impose homosexual marriage on our land, and violently persecute people of faith. He still had to shower illegal immigrants with free healthcare, food, shelter, clothing, education, cell phones, computers and CASH, while our own citizens, even our own veterans and seniors remain hungry and homeless. And if that were not bad enough, as his Islamic brothers were raping, torturing, burning, beheading and otherwise murdering innocent people around the world, he still had to fund those terrorists and welcome hundreds of thousands of them to our shores every year of his reign.
It’s absolute insanity. Yet it continues, as recently as last week. Instead of shutting down the terrorist training grounds like other civilized nations, Obama makes presidential visits to these mosques to give them his blessing -- these are places with solid, proven ties to ISIS, Hamas, Hezbollah, the Taliban and Al Quaida -- and while there, he once again had to take the opportunity to shake his finger at those hateful, bigoted Christians. You know, in the civilized world, if a man believes that God wants him to kill, we call him INSANE. In the Islamic world, that man is called a good Muslim. But I digress...
A few months ago, when Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders began his run for president, once again, I thought, “There is NO WAY, in the United States of America, that we will EVER elect a socialist to be president. It’s INCONCEIVABLE!” It is the complete and total OPPOSITE of what this nation stands for. Even the ultra-liberal mainstream news media laughed at him. Then, ever so slowly, he began gaining momentum. Now, as I write this message, he has just tied with Hillary Clinton in the Iowa Caucus, and he is a full 20 points ahead of her in New Hampshire. How in the world can this be happening?
Look at the groundwork our current administration has already laid for the planned conversion to full-out socialism in America. 1) A government takeover of healthcare, with the added benefit of bankrupting businesses, and throwing thousands of middle class citizens into unemployment. 2) Poverty levels increased dramatically, with more people than ever dependent upon government handouts for food, shelter, clothing and income. 3) National debt increased to unsustainable levels. 4) The educational system hijacked by government, controlling what people learn -- and do not learn -- in school. Example: Common Core, with curriculum featuring heavy indoctrination of the Islamic religion -- in public schools. 5) Removal of the God of the Bible from all public view, and marginalizing our Judeo-Christian heritage and faith -- portraying it as antiquated, narrow minded, bigoted, superstitious and silly, while simultaneously raising up the religion of Islam and promoting Islamic law at every turn. 6) Class and Race Warfare... dividing people and pitting them against one another, creating hatred and promoting violence. 7) promoting anarchy by vilifying law enforcement, making the police the enemy. 8) Portraying law-abiding gun owners as terrorists, while the government guns down patriotic protestors with impunity. 9) Seeking even greater control of industry and energy resources through legislation aimed at alleviating global climate change -- a phenomenon that thousands of scientists agree is a fabrication. I could go on, but there is no need.
Obama and the socialists currently in power have been remarkably successful at fundamentally changing the collective MINDS of Americans, and this is most evident on the campuses of our colleges and universities. Students there have already been trained since birth that every kid gets a trophy, just for showing up. Performance has nothing to do with it. And now, we don’t even need to show up anymore. The socialist policies of our current administration have provided enough incentives to keep people contentedly out of the labor force. Why work, when you can collect enough government benefits to live better than the man breaking his back at a 9 - 5 job everyday?
Today the talk is all about free college tuition. But for what purpose, I ask? Because a college degree does not automatically translate to a good job and financial security. In fact, more and more, as our young people graduate from college, they are returning home to live in Mom’s basement. The fact is, today’s college graduates cannot afford to live on their own. They have gotten the government indoctrination at the public university, and they’ve come away with their four year degrees in 18th Century Feminist Studies, and now find themselves working at Walmart and Burger King, if they are working at all. More often than not, such entry level jobs are considered beneath them. After all, they have a four-year college degree. What’s worse, they also have a $100,000 student loan debt to pay off. It’s not fair.
No, it is not fair, and that’s my point. Life is not fair, nor is it equal, nor should it ever be. The socialists are training our kids to demand everything for free. To the young person in the above mentioned situation, that sounds like the ideal solution. But kids, if you think your college education has turned out to be worthless now, imagine what value it will have when everyone has the same college education... about as much value as that “participation trophy” you got in T Ball. A higher education was only ever worth anything at all when a person actually rose above the crowd to achieve something most did not. When you make it as common as dirt, that’s just about what it will be worth.
Ceding more control to the government is never the answer. We’ve all seen how well Obamacare has worked out for us. Shall we now do the same thing with our educational system? Unfortunately, this is what Bernie Sanders -- and millions of his followers -- now want as well... and they’re pushing a 90% tax rate to pay for it. But take a minute to have a conversation with a Sanders fan, and ask them if they are ok with a 90% tax rate. “Absolutely!” they will say -- “the rich need to pay their fair share. They can afford it.” (Again, more evidence of the class warfare and envy they’ve been taught). But now ask them, “what about if YOU must pay 90% of what you earn in taxes?” Suppose you graduate from college and you are one of the very few who are able to get a job. Suppose you get a really good job and you’re earning $100,000 in salary your first year. Now imagine you only get to keep $10,000 of that, while the government takes $90,000 to pay for all the free stuff for those who choose not to work at all. Indeed for those who are not even citizens of this country... This is what’s known as “income equality.” A better word is “socialism.” Do you think you’ll want to continue working at your job, when it’s proven that hard work and diligence earns you nothing? When you’re making $100,000 a year but your actual take home pay is less than $5 an hour at a 90% tax rate? I can’t think of anything that would more completely crush the human spirit. Can you?
Now imagine what will become of our country, with no one willing to work anymore. Imagine what will become of our society, our industry, our culture. We need not imagine. We need only look at the former Soviet Union. But you see, kids today don’t even KNOW what that is. They have no concept of history, because they were never taught it. They have no idea what socialism is, and while they say they love it, they can’t accurately define it. Some have tried to describe it as being a big happy “village,” because after all, in Hillary’s words, “it takes a village.” Or they relate it to “social media,” like Facebook and the like, where we are all somehow connected as friends.
If we are to save this once-great nation of ours, we MUST start educating people, young and old. They are not learning in school and they are not learning in our churches. They’re being indoctrinated in school with left-wing, anti-Christian rhetoric, and our churches have become neutered by their 501c3 status and political correctness run amuk. I laughed when, after 9/11, after years of fighting Saddam, they said a muslim would be president. I could not conceive of things getting any worse after four years of that.... but I am not laughing any more. The greatest task before us now, is to educate the populace -- outside the four walls of the schools and college campuses, and outside the four walls of our churches. The teaching must now be done vigilante style, since our institutions have utterly failed us. Our collective ignorance and apathy has been our downfall, and this is our last chance, and I’m trying to warn you. PLEASE LISTEN.
The prophet Hosea said, “My people are destroyed, for lack of knowledge.” Do you agree with that statement? Do you agree with what I have said here? Then, PLEASE, begin now, today, and DO something about it. Our young generation is being led to the slaughter because we have failed to educate them and instill within them a sense of patriotism, and a love and appreciation for American ingenuity, industry and personal freedom. Incidentally, we are, as a nation, also WOEFULLY Biblically illiterate. It may already be too late. If we fail to act now, TODAY, I guarantee it will be and we will soon pound the final nail into the coffin of what once was the Land of the Free.
