If God Created Everything... Did He Create Evil?

   God is not only  the Creator of our planet Earth, He is the Creator of the entire Universe as well and the far reaches of space.  He designed everything and literally spoke it into existance. 

   Everything we see and experience is held together by the very power of God.  So if our God is ALL POWERFUL, how did this thing called “evil” originate and why does it continue to exist?  And if God allows evil to exist, doesn’t that make God accountable for all the bad things that happen in the world? 

   First off we have to realize that God’s ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not as our thoughts. To our thinking as human folks something just doesn’t seem to add up. Our thinking says, “If God created everything, He must have created evil too.” But first let’s take a look at just what “evil” actually is. Evil ain’t a “thing” like a stone or an elephant or a tree....evil is kind-a like this: cold actually does not exist.  Cold is actually just the absence of heat -- in essence darkness doesn’t exist, because darkness is merely the absence of light.  Evil, likewise, is really just the absence of GOOD.  

   Back in Genesis when God was busy creating stuff, every time He finished a project, the Bible records “and God said it was GOOD.”  God created ...
