A Call to Stay on Course

Hebrews 12:1-2 “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

The Bible compares our Christian life to a race. The course is straight if we run according to Biblical instruction. We must keep our eyes on the reward at the end of the race.

Jesus Christ is our shining example of staying the course. Jesus endured the cross, despised the shame, and ultimately was set down at the right hand of God’s throne.

We, who have decided to follow Christ, want to live a life that is pleasing to Him. We live in a fallen world in which Satan will throw one obstacle after another to disrupt the course of both new and seasoned Christians alike.

The warfare from Satan can take the form of intimidating and demanding threats from the LGBT agenda to accept their perverse ways. One threat is either submit to its agenda or be sued and lose your livelihood.
