Editor, Wisconsin Christian News:Once a again the nation is rocked by another school shooting and predictably the anti-gun factions rally to ban “assault rifles"” (a term they cannot even identify) and other gun control measures. But as this nation mourns the horror that occurred, will more gun laws stop the violence and make us safer?
The short answer is no, because it does not address the true cause of America’s ills. America is FULL OF DARKENED HEARTS. Until we face the spiritual emptiness in the life of this nation, things are only going to get worse.
Everyone wants to take sides: left/right, conservative/liberal. However, the real battle, since the time of the fall in the garden, has always been between satan and the followers of Our Father. Genesis 3:14-15, “Then the Lord said to the serpent, ‘Because you have done this, cursed are you among all animals, and among all beasts of the field; on your belly shall you crawl, dust shall you eat, all the days of your life. I will put enmity between you and the woman, between your seed and her seed; he shall crush your head, and you shall lie in wait for his heel.’” Revelation 12:17, “And the dragon was angered at the woman, and went away to wage war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God, and hold fast the testimony of Jesus.”
This war against her seed (OUR CHILDREN) starts with abortion, where the blood of over 60 million innocent children has defiled our land and streams down the sewers of American cities. If satan cannot get the babies in the womb, he will do all he can to get them in our schools. From the destruction of the soul through atheistic Darwinism to the indoctrination of our children into Religious Humanism our children are being taught that life has no meaning. Instead, all our lives are simply the result of an accidental evolutionary process instead of being made in the image and likeness of our Creator. We are a nation strewn with soulless children with darkened hearts.
How much more destruction will we have to endure before the American “church” will wake up from her coma? President Teddy Roosevelt stated, “To educate a child in mind and not in morality is to educate a menace to society.”
This nation is facing a cultural war, the likes we have never seen before. Which will prevail? The values of Christianity or the values of the Religious Humanist that brainwash our children in government schools? Which will produce a more loving and peaceful society? Now is the time for Christians to understand their real enemy and fully engage in the battle! Our childrens’ lives depend on it.
