Trail Ridge Bible Camp 2018 ‘Character Quest: A Life-Changing Journey Through God’s Word’

Complimentary Story
The word “character” can mean strength, spirit, courage, and moral fiber. These are the goals of the Trail Ridge Bible Camp theme this summer.

Kids Kamp, Teen Camp, and Lifeline Camp will focus on maturing each camper’s character through Bible study, discussions, and camp activities.

Campers will study the real life experiences of men and women in the Bible and the ramifications of the decisions they made throughout their lives. Discussions will examine whether a decision was a good one or a bad one, as well as how things would have turned out differently for those who made bad decisions if only a ‘Godly” path was chosen.

Campers will learn the necessity of having God’s input in all their decisions throughout their lives and how a strong Biblical understanding will strengthen their character.

Chapel sessions will be led by a special guest speaker at each week of camp.  There will be Scripture memorization contests, group devotional times, and singing of sacred songs.

The campers will also have plenty of free time for outdoor fun with the enormous slip ‘n slide, go-karts, archery, sand volleyball, boating, canoeing, swimming, and octo-ball. There is also the game room which houses ping pong, foosball, pool, and air hockey for times of friendly competition.

“Kids Kamp” is open to boys and girls ages 8 to 13 years old.

The three weeks that kids in this age group can choose from are June 18 to the 23 with a registration deadline of June 4; June 25 to the 30th with a registration deadline of June 11, and July 9 to the 14th with a registration deadline of June 25.

No registrations will be accepted after these deadlines so the camp can prepare for the arrival of the campers.

Campers will want to bring some spending money for the newly remodeled snack shop so they can recharge before continuing their day under the warm summer sun.

The cost for one week of Kids Kamp is $215 and three discounts are available.

The first is the “early bird” discount of $20 for a fee of $195 when registered by April 30th. The second discount is applied for the camper and siblings when mom, dad, or a grandparent volunteer for the entire week. The third is a $50 discount for all first time campers at Trail Ridge.

Register online at TrailRidge.org or call 800-729-9829 for more information.

“Teen Camp” is for campers who will be 14 to 18 years old in 2018 and will be held from July 23 to the 28th.

No registrations will be accepted after July 9 so the camp can prepare for the arrival of the teen campers.

These older campers will also study the Bible to enhance their Christian characteristics to prepare them to resolve issues not yet confronting the younger campers.

The cost for one week of Teen Camp is $215 and the three discounts available for Kids Kamp also apply to Teen Camp.

Register online at TrailRidge.org or call 800-729-9829 for more information.

“Lifeline Camp” is a scholarship camp that provides the experience of Trail Ridge to youth who otherwise would be unable to experience it. While this camp is filled to capacity this summer the need for scholarships and volunteers is still open.

Scholarships are greatly appreciated for these campers and are applied not only to the week’s activities, lodging, and meals but also for transportation to and from the camp.

If you would like to donate to the “Lifeline Camp” scholarship fund please call 800-729-9829 or donate online at TrailRidge.org.

Volunteers are as needed during “Lifeline Camp” as they are during the other weeks of camp.

During all weeks of camp our volunteer needs are for certified nurses, doctors, or paramedics, certified lifeguards, housekeeping teams, grounds crew, activities assistants, and kitchen duty.

Volunteer applications and frequently asked questions can be found online at TrailRidge.org.

Trail Ridge Camp is located at S2695 Cherith Way in Hillsboro. Register online at TrailRidge.org. For more information call 800-729-9829 or email info@trailridge.org.

The Trail Ridge Bible Camp “Servants of Christ” vow to honor God through Biblical teaching, character building, and activity at all weeks of camp.

1 Tim 4:12, “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”

“Trail Ridge Experience 2018”

Families are invited to come to Trail Ridge camp by attending the “Trail Ridge Experience” on Friday, June 8 and Saturday, June 9 in Hillsboro.

The weekend will begin with a fellowship buffet supper, chapel, and activities on Friday evening. Saturday is your day to decide whether to go boating, hiking, or swimming or enjoy some octo-ball or archery just to name a few activities available. If you need a break from the sun the game room is available along with the newly remodeled snack shop.

A chapel time will also be held Saturday along with skill time activities.

Lodging will be provided in the cabins which have twin size bunk beds (you bring bedding, pillows, and towels) and the meals are “all you can eat” buffets.

If you prefer to bring your own tents, RVs or campers then a discount will be available. For those staying in a tent you can choose a more secluded location on Sunset Trail and walk to the showers and restrooms or you can enjoy the convenience of pitching your tent at the RV Park which has water and electrical hookups.

The cost of this weekend for 18 years and older is $40 per person; teens 13 to 17 years are $35 per person; and each child 4 to 12 years old is $30. There is no cost for those under 3 years old and the maximum family charge is $200 for the weekend.
