NO Separation of 'Church' and 'State'

Editor, Wisconsin Christian News:

   Saying that there is a “separation of church and state” in the Constitution of the United States of America misleads many people.   

   In this country, God gave us our Constitution as the authority over us.  Article I — the fist Amendment — states:  “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or of prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or of abridging freedom of speech...”

   That means that congress can not establish a church, or religion, and declare it the church, or religion of the United States of America.  That is what England did to their country when they established the Church of England.  Such a man-made church or religion is prohibited in our country, and not bona-fide in God’s written Word.

   You can be a Government, or a non-Government individual and become a member of the Christ’s un-named Church via Acts 2:14-41, and exercise your bona-fide religion anywhere so long as you do not physically harm someone, or their property.  Your rights do not end when you enter Government property.  Someone taking offense to your bona-fide religion does not construe physical harm to them.  However there is no specific mention of freely exercising a false, or impure religion.
