Has gravity got you down? What a dumb question. Of course it does. That is what gravity does. Gravity, is an invisible force that draws physical objects to the surface of this planet. It gives weight to objects. It is a force that holds our bodies down to this earth. Though you can’t see it, you see the effects of it.
There is another form of gravity. It is of an evil nature. The gravity I am talking about holds born again believers down and keeps them from rising to new heights. It is the propensity in men to want to stay grounded and anchored in this world. It is the inward desire of the old nature which is promoted by the demonic realm, that is constantly making a plea for the believer to come down from his place in Christ and be a mere earthly creature. It is the fear or unwillingness to wander too far from being the earthlings that we are and rise to the heavenlies as new creatures in Christ.
