How Should I Give?

    Romans 12:1-2,  “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God — this is your true and proper worship.  Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — His good, pleasing and perfect will.”

   According to the verses above, God wants your whole mind, body and soul to be a living sacrifice, because His will is good, pleasing, and perfect. What about giving money to what Jesus says is important? 

   Matthew 6:19-21, “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.  But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.  For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

   I have a real problem with this verse. I hear about ministries like Wisconsin Christian News, and hear from missionaries, and listen to Christian radio programs. Everyone of these live by faith that God will provide the flow of monies, so they can continue to serve, broadcast, publish good articles and sermons, so we as Christians can know what is happening in our world, ...
