Life is Short. Make it Count. For God.

    Christians need to live for the Lord, starting today! Most people are living for themselves. The world’s deception that just because life is short means that you should do what “makes you happy” and what “feels good” is the motivator behind the actions of most people. 

   We see the evidence of selfishness in almost every area in our modern world. Unfortunately, people are seeking after things that are perishable and useless in the perspective of eternity.

   In my experience of putting down worldly things,  the people in my life who I used to have a lot in common with, now it is difficult to find a common ground.

   Yes, life is short, it is very short. God’s Word describes life as a vapor. The fact is, the wages of sin is death and we have all sinned; our time here is limited. 

   The big question people often ask themselves, Christian or not, is “what is my purpose?” As followers of Christ we know that our ultimate purpose is to do the will of God, fulfill the great commission, and endure ‘til the end. The way Christians decide what they should do in life should not be dependent upon their feelings, but what God has called you to do. The Bible makes it clear that we are part of one body, but all serve different functions.
