THIS IS WHAT I'VE LEARNED...From the Seat of My Pickup Truck in Wyoming!

   I’ve put a lot of miles on vehicles throughout the years, traveling across the country in ministry. I’ve run outta gas, broken down, and camped out on the side of the road, waiting for help to arrive. And many times, I’ve had to rely upon the kindness of strangers, to get to where I was going…from all walks of life. Those of different ethnic, religious and cultural backgrounds, only to find that as the saying goes, “Kindness Matters.”

   Ephesians 4:32 says, “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” (ESV)

   And as an evangelical pastor I’ve discovered through the years of ministering to folks, either believers or not yet believers, the impact that kindness can have upon a person is often more effective than passing judgment or some criticism on to a person, whose life has broken down on the side of the road. Case in point, when Jesus spoke with the woman at the well, what do you think may have had the most impact on her?

   Our Lord knew all about her: her history, her lifestyle, even how she felt and thought about herself, because of who He truly was…God Himself in an incarnate state.
