Why is the Church So Divided?

   Individual churches face division, denominational churches face division, nondenominational, evangelical and I dare say the overall Church in America is full of division. I have seen people fight and argue over how the church parking lot is striped.  A church chooses up sides over two different personalities employed by the same church, attempting to discredit one over the other.  I have experienced a small group of people organize, for no Biblical reason, to keep someone from the 85% affirming majority required to be in leadership.

   The reasons for division could be over music, pews vs. chairs, time of service, and Sunday school vs. small groups or the church’s name. And oh Lord, let’s not bring up the King James Version versus the New International. We could have division even over Jesus’ skin color. When you go outside the individual local church and look at the vast landscape of church names, the pot shots become a virtual shooters game. High profile Godly men and women take some big hits and the larger growing churches are riddled by the assaults of smaller churches aimed at discrediting them. Oh this is just a scratch on the surface for divisive reasons people can come up with. There are Christian ministry organizations that their sole purpose is to undermine and discredit other Christian ministries.
