I treasure Tolkien’s words, they’re golden to me. Because they reveal the true nature of God’s love for us; hidden, right before our eyes in plain sight. Throughout the natural world in all of God’s creation, gold that does not glitter abounds and surrounds us, as a testimony of His love and to His great glory, power and majesty. Jesus said, “Those who have eyes to see, will see it. Those who have ears to hear, will hear it.” And I see and hear His love all around me in everyone and everything.
