Opening Eyes to the Truth

   This summer has pushed me in every way imaginable. I spent the last 8 weeks interning with the anti-abortion organization Created Equal. We went to college campuses, the public square, and abortion mills to expose the truth about abortion and change people’s minds.  I learned a lot and had many interesting conversations, I want to share a few of them with you.

June 21:
   Today, while sidewalk counseling at Planned Parenthood, I watched a twenty-something-year-old woman leave with the abortion pill. Inside the clinic, she had already taken the first pill. This pill would cut off all nutrients to the baby, essentially starving her baby to death. With a small brown paper bag in hand, she hopped into an Uber and drove away.

   Twenty-four-hours later she would take the second pill, which would cause contractions and begin labor. After hours of pain and blood loss, she then would deliver her dead baby in her toilet.

   I have not become numb to seeing post-abortive women leaving the abortion clinic. Many of their blank and empty stares have been seared into my mind. This young lady’s face was different from the rest. With a nervous smile on her face, she left the clinic. The difference between her and a woman who had a surgical abortion is she still had her baby in her womb. She was not yet stripped of her motherhood and her child was still alive!
