The spectacle of Robert Mueller’s testimony to Congress regarding the Special Counsel investigation of Collusion has accomplished several things: questions as to whether or not Mueller was really responsible for the whole thing or being used as a figurehead, questions as to whether or not his apparent incompetence was carefully orchestrated so as to keep him safe from harm by either political “side” — pro or anti Trump — and perhaps most important, it has allowed what President Trump has called a “witch hunt” to be closed. It appears that this closure has now opened the door for exposure of much of the criminality that he has already known full well was going on. To try to expose it while he was under investigation would have provided opponents an opportunity to cry, “foul!”
