Just about ALL cults and religions have bought into the Tithe System, and they ALL use the same slogan: “You are robbing God if you don’t give US the tithe!” Someone has to be in error. It seems to be just another scheme of the world used by wolves in sheeps’ clothing pulling the wool over the eyes of the flock while they shear them of everything but their skin. Tithing was in effect under the Old Covenant, but now in the post-apostolic era it seems as if man has instituted it for his own greed.
The Old Testament tithing system is NOT applicable for the Church today. The reasonings given by the pulpiteers for the tithe today is superinduced subterfuge; it is NOT the same as it was for the JEWISH PEOPLE, and their era of priesthood, sacrifices, ceremonies, etc. EVERYTHING under the Old Covenant has stopped — the bank is closed — that system is NO LONGER in existence!
