God had a plan for marriage…for its success. What He began in that first Garden has remained unchanged by God. Why mess with success? This was God’s plan for marital success: “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.” (Genesis 2:24).
Male and female united in love…intimately joined as “one flesh.” In this design was the opportunity for pleasure and procreation. Marriage and family were inter-connected in God’s plan for success. God would be the “love glue” for this success!
And then we find mankind’s alternative planning. How about polygamy? Does homosexuality fit? We need a divorce option! And let’s not forget co-habitation!
Mankind has been inventive…but not constructive. Nothing has ever improved upon God’s success plan. Indeed, mankind’s alternatives have always been destructive, as they are all separated from Good Orderly Direction!
