What has “Train Up” to do with Allegiance? Everything! The human mind, like other parts of the human body, must be fed, or nurtured about the history of our country in order for everyone to live in harmony in it. Today we have drifted from the course set down by our Founding Fathers, and we see the discordancy caused by departure. We flounder in the dark, and have no guiding Light, and nothing to Pledge Allegiance to without knowledge of where we came from, why our system was set in order, and what our system was set up to maintain.
A person has to know his origin; why many left their old country, and why they fought and died to be independent. One can not know himself as an American until he knows what an American is. America is not a separate entity from ourselves; we are one and the same unit. Americans make up this unit, and we Pledge Allegiance to each other, (i.e.the United States). We abide by the system, due to the fact, “WE ARE THE SYSTEM!” When we know the concepts of our history, we know who we are, and why we pledge allegiance to our America. As it is written in history: “If we don’t hang together, we will HANG SEPARATELY!”
