Editor, Wisconsin Christian News:Jesus taught the desciples to “go out” with far more than just the “good news” of the Gospel in the great commission!
The good news: Jesus took upon our sin in order to save us from our sins. That special, awesome, heart-loving atonement should be more heart-convicting to us than merely wanting people to know that Jesus died for them and they need to be saved.
Being saved means while we understand Jesus died for us, we have CONVICTION of the heart. Yes, we do want everyone to be saved. Yes, we do want to spread the gospel. But we are to have Jesus IN us, and relationship with Jesus’ righteousness. How can we have Jesus in us (which is the Holy Spirit) without true repentance? Repentance does not come without conviction. And CONVICTION goes against sin, and sin is SIN - meaning ALL sin.
Jesus did not die for some of our sin. He died for all sin. But the “churches” refuse to talk/preach about ALL sin. Rather, they tolerate it. Tolerance is not love. It’s unfaithfullness.
As the WORD of God, then isn’t Jesus’ Word to encompass the Bible in its entirety? As the “Light” of the world, Jesus shown against the darkness of evil. Is the Church hiding Jesus’ light beneath a “bushel” instead of standing for everything Jesus represents?
Biblically, iron is to sharpen iron. Churches, are you challenging and convicting each other to STOP and take a STAND against the works of the god of this world? Is the Church’s light piercing the darkness or is the darkness overtaking the churches?
Churches: how can people be “saved” without the WHOLE Word of God? True heart-convicted people CRY OUT AGAINST ALL things sin, not just some things sin.
Pastors: iron sharpening iron: are you truly heart-convicted enough to STAND and CRY OUT against the dark, evil, atrosity of abortion? 63 million since Roe v. Wade; now selling baby body parts. Question: Apparently the murder of shedding innocent blood isn’t the Word of God because you’re neither talking about it nor standing heart-convicted against it. Answer: Obviously that’s one big darkness OUTSHINING the churches’ light hiding under the bushel!
Pastors: iron sharpening iron: are you truly heart-convicted enough to STAND and CRY OUT against the sodomy of homosexuality and its expanded movement? According to the WORD of God it is an “abomination.” The preachers, pastors, and the churches not only don’t stand against it, but some homosexuals have become preachers and pastors, welcoming it into the churches and teaching it! It’s also being taught in schools, in library drag queen story hour, along with countless other sexual perversion, and in pride parades! Question: Apparently sodomy and perversion must not be the Word of God because you’re neither talking about it nor standing against it. Answer: Obviously this is another darkness OUTSHINING the churches’ light hiding under the bushel!
Pastors: iron sharpening iron: are you truly heart-convicted enough to STAND and CRY OUT against the evil of socialism (it’s really communism) and anti-semitism. The “Church” MADE BARGAINS with Hitler while the people in the churches sang louder to drown out the screams and cries of the train loads of Jewish people being hauled to concentration camps and MURDERED. According to the WORD of God, the Jews are God’s chosen people and the nation of Israel is their land given by God. Right now anti-semitism is as strong as the rise of it in the 1930s and there are groups calling for the destruction of Israel. Question: Apparently God’s chosen people must not be the WORD of God because you’re neither talking about the Old Testament or God’s Covenant, nor standing against replacement theology.
Neither are you refuting “Chrislam” and the teaching that the Muslim god is the same as our Christian God. Answer: Obviously this is another darkness OUTSHINING the churches’ light hiding under a bushel!
Pastors: iron sharpening iron: are you truly heart-convicted enough to STAND and CRY OUT against the trashing of what our nation “under God” truly stands for? The churches fled persecution to come to a land where there was freedom to worship the true God. The people fought and died to make and keep America free. God told Israel when they crossed into the promised land not to corrupt itself with other peoples/nations’ beliefs and idols, and to protect their borders. Which means as the Godly nation that we were founded as and established upon, we too must protect our borders and not corrupt ourself with other nations’ ungodly religions, beliefs, and idolatry. God said! Yet we continue to watch TV sports figures “taking a knee” (trashing our flag and anthem and everything patriotic that our parents and grandparents died for, so that you and I are free) in our wonderful One Nation under God. Apparently STANDING UP for patriotism and AGAINST so many other forms of ungodliness must not be the WORD of God because you’re neither talking about it nor standing against the ungodliness of the (un)Democratic party and all the demonic things it stands for. Instead you are telling sports anecdotes as part of your sermons when ALL sport leagues sanction and endorse homosexuality and Planned Parenthood (pre-planned murder), among other abhorent things. Since when is ANYTHING sports-related part of the WORD of God to be included in a sermon? “Running the race” for the high calling was NOT endorsing sports. There was nothing sports-related in the Old Testament. “Sport” was PAGAN IDOLATRY introduced and practiced by the Greeks, and also used to murder Christians. Not once did Jesus liken becoming Christ-like as the “sport of running a race.” Paul only used it as an analogy. Question: Apparently STANDING UP FOR patriotism is less important than the constant bombardment of overpaid athletes. Answer: Obviously this is another darkness OUTSHINING the churches’ light hiding under the bushel!
Question: Pastors: iron sharpening iron: are you HEART-CONVICTED enough to STAND and CRY OUT against the evil darkness that is shining brighter than the churches’ light? The BODY and BLOOD (symbolically “remembered” but we are to honor Christ daily) IS THE CHURCH, except the world sees the Church as weakness to be ignored, trodden over and laughed at because pastors are NOT standing!
Young people don’t come to church because they are taught (indoctrinated) to believe the other-godly brainwashing in government schools of evil immorality where genders are “fluid,” where 5 + 4 = “almost 10”; life is whatever you choose to believe it to be; history has been abandoned; and “who needs God or patriotism when there is nothing to live for?” Because the church is NOT STANDING against this, then why come to a church that’s not standing, a church that waters down Christianity, where Jesus is “love,” but not justice, wisdom, love, and power! Jesus is complete righteousness to be awed. But with all the sports figureheads and Hollywood heroes to idolize, the mindless computer games to occupy oneself with...(the demoralizing list goes on). Apparently putting away and avoiding idols is not the WORD of God, because running home to watch sports is more important than running to God. Obviously this darkness is OUTSHINING the churches’ light hiding under a bushel!
Iron is to sharpen iron. Pastors, please start sharpening each other. RISE UP and STAND against the evil darkness overtaking so many and so much of this world. God is judging unfaithful works. Watered down Christianity is not fruit of the Spirit. Is the Church’s light piercing the darkness or is the darkness overtaking the church?
God’s Word is being compromised, redefined, and made to be “lukewarm.” This is not ignorance, nor is it lacking discernment. It’s choice — to marginalize Jesus’ righteousness.
