Ukraine and the War of Gog of Magog (Part 2)

   “I don’t forget, dear Jews, the good you’ve done to me, I am the president of the superpower that is Russia, and hence, our relationship is so good, it’s all thanks to how much you care about others, and the poor!”  (Vladimir Putin).

   When I read this entire speech, posted in Part 1, I wondered if it was spin or truth. Politicians seem to always have a touch of corruption and lies.  If it is untrue, Putin told the story many times in his past. 

   From Haaretz, March 12, 2014: Putin traces his earliest connection to Judaism back to his early childhood in Leningrad, now St. Petersburg, when he befriended a Jewish family that lived in his apartment block. In his 2000 autobiography, Putin wrote that the unnamed family loved him and that he used to seek its company.

   “They were observant Jews who did not work on Saturdays and the man would study the Bible and Talmud all day long,” Putin wrote. “Once I even asked him what he was muttering. He explained to me what this book was and I was immediately interested.”
