Slavery — The Sound of Islam

   Recently, I was asked by a friend to watch a movie, “The Sound of Freedom.”  I took my wife and went to the movie theater. As I was watching the movie, I realized I am very familiar with everything that is happening in the movie. It was a very tragic sad, story.  If you have seen the movie, you know it was built on a true account. While I was sitting inside the theater in the flesh, my mind went back over 1400 years, to learn about the noble example who brought such terrible thoughts of child abuse into reality throughout the entire world. 

   A couple of weeks later, I was on a mission trip in the state of Ohio. We visited a mosque on Friday. Some of our team members entered the mosque before Friday prayers began. Those of us outside waited for the Muslims to finish praying and come out afterwards. Inside, two new converts stated the shahada. They testified that there is no god but Allah, and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. Sister Hatun, who was a part of our team, asked the lady about why she converted to Islam. She stated she had been looking back and forth at Islam for more than 10 years, and in the last year she studied and learned more about Islam and that was why she became a Muslim.
