The Hijacking of Christianity

  Modern Christianity bears very little resemblance to the Christianity that one will find in the Book of Acts. The true forerunners of this thing that we call Christianity would have a hard time recognizing what is “practiced” in most of American Christendom today.

   The people we read about in the 1st century Church would not even be welcomed in most American congregations today.

   In fact, they were so radical that they were accused of “turning the world upside down.”  Like it or not, much of the Bible is a war manual, replete with historical battles and a litany of strategies that have been employed against the forces of darkness in the battle for Truth and Justice.  

   The Book of Acts, a period of only 33 years of Bible history, relates the heroism of scores of “saints” who gave up their lives for the advancement of the Kingdom of God.

   In fact, John the Baptist, who lost his head for calling the King’s wife a whore, garnered the attention of his cousin, Jesus, who called John the “greatest man ever born unto a woman.”

   Evidently, despite what your Sunday school teacher taught you, Jesus was a very INTOLERANT man.  It cost Him HIS life as well.  “No one comes to the Father except through Me ...
