April 2024With each passing day, evil is accelerating. Gut-wrenching news broke recently of an increase in abortions taking place since the Dobbs decision. It is said to be the highest number of abortions in a decade. (Let’s be clear: abortion is the intentional murder of a pre-born baby girl or boy.) The rise in the number of abortions is credited to the flagrant use of the “abortion pill.” Despite the propaganda of being called “safe and effective,” chemical abortions not only kill the baby, but also many mothers are harmed and injured by this deadly pill.
The Charlotte Lozier Institute reports, “A peer-reviewed study of 423,000 abortions in U.S. states that paid for abortions with state tax dollars found that the rate of chemical abortion-related ER visits increased more than 500% from 2002 to 2015. Chemical abortions had higher ER visit rates than surgical abortions.” This does not include the emotional and psychological scarring that will forever be felt by the mother on every anniversary of the deadly abortion, and on each birthday that child will never experience. It’s a date that will forever be ingrained in the mother.
Pray earnestly for the Justices of the U.S. Supreme Court who heard oral arguments on March 26, 2024 in two cases, U.S. Food and Drug Administration v. Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine and Danco Laboratories v. Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine. The outcome of this decision could put a stop to mail order abortions.
Additionally, at a recent congressional hearing, gruesome information was shared featuring information uncovered by David Daleiden of the Center for Medical Progress. Daleiden said, “The new videos show Planned Parenthood’s financial interest in selling the body parts from aborted babies is even bigger than previously discussed and their criminal intent is irrefutably documented.” He also indicated, “The new footage also shows the barbaric lengths Planned Parenthood will go to in order to cover up their illegal abortion harvesting.” Exposure was given to the high prices being paid for organs of the babies. LifeNews.com reported that video footage also revealed a description of “abortionists who skirt federal law against partial-birth abortion by using forceps to pull off the legs of babies who are about to be born alive, so that the bodies may be sold for thousands of dollars.”
This modern-day Holocaust must come to an end! Instead, it is being celebrated. Recently Vice President Kamala Harris visited and toured an abortion center. Her purpose in going was clearly to promote abortion. This is a tragic first in our nation’s history. Picture a U.S. Vice President touring the gas chambers where Jews were actively being put to death. How abhorrent!
Further, U.S. Rep. Ayanna Pressley joined with Sen. Mazie Hirono and introduced H.Con.Res.95 and S.Con.Res.6 to celebrate March 10th as “Abortion Provider Appreciation Day.” These resolutions state, “Whereas March 10 has been established as a day to show appreciation for the essential, high-quality care that abortion providers and clinic staff provide to their communities and those traveling to their communities, and to celebrate their courage, compassion, and dedication to their work.” Such resolutions are outrageous and shameful! Will this Senator and Representative also soon introduce resolutions to honor and commemorate Hitler, Stalin, and Mao Tse-tung? Shouldn’t they also have a day of appreciation? What’s the difference?
While we see this proliferation of evil, we are prone to think that these evildoers are getting away with their deadly deeds. Let us not forget that God will ultimately judge these works of darkness. We must ever by mindful of these statements made in Psalm 37.
“Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.” (37:1-2).
“For evildoers shall be cut off:” (37:9a).
“For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be:” (37:10a).
“The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth. The LORD shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.” (37:12-13).
“The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation. Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.” (37:14-15).
“For the arms of the wicked shall be broken:” (37:17a).
“But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.” (37:20).
“…and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.” (37:22b).
“…but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.” (37:28b).
“…when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.” (37:34b).
“I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree. Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.” (37:35-36).
“But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.” (37:38).
No, ultimately the wicked will not succeed in their evil ways. Though they continue to mock God and thumb their nose at Him, God’s judgment awaits all those who are perpetrators of evil. It also awaits each who refuse to repent of their sin and reject the Lord Jesus Christ. One day we will all individually stand before Him, either as Savior OR Judge. Which will it be for you?
