Complimentary Story
April 2024In the last few weeks, I have been blessed to speak with and attempt to guide three “pastors” (I quote it because I believe them to be wolves, not shepherds!), two men who are leading their Men’s Bible Studies and several esteemed members of several of the local churches.
I have also been able to minister to three separate homeschool parents, who all have large families and who were all homeschooled as well. And, as most homeschool families homeschool primarily because of their faith, these three parents also homeschool because of their faith.
The stunning pattern I have observed in speaking with all these individuals is that none of them are sharing the Gospel to lost souls outside of their churches or their families; none of them are doing anything for their neighbors, let alone, the “least of these” and, none of them are doing anything about the thousands of children, who continue to be tortured to death, daily, from abortion.
And, not surprisingly, none of them hand out Christian tracts. In fact, most of them did not even know what a Christian tract is!
How is it possible to be raised as a Christian and to intentionally decide to raise your own children to be Christian, and to spend your entire life in conservative churches, and still not know Jesus Christ? And most of these individuals do spend time in God’s Word and some of them likely know God’s Word better than many others do!
Well, here is one of the biggest reasons... they surround themselves with other “lukewarm” (falsely converted!), “Christians” who believe you can walk with Jesus while ignoring the greatest cries that come out of God’s Word — the Great Commission and the “least of these”; our “neighbors” and “brothers!” (By the way, these are the Two Greatest Commandments!)
Every false convert I speak with is confident that he is “born again” (saved!), being led by the Holy Spirit and pleasing God. Even though most are not even reading their Bibles, have no clue what God’s commands are and are doing nothing for their neighbors!
How is it possible to deceive so many people?
This is how... Satan simply redefines God’s Word and who your neighbors and brothers are and what “obedience,” “love,” “apathy,” “repentance,” “abiding in,” etc. means, instead of relying on what God says these words mean.
It is like how pro-life’s wicked ideology is able to get so many obedient followers in spite of them opposing God and protecting abortion and being abortion’s greatest ally, along with the disobedience, silence and apathy of the American churches. They simply redefined God’s Word in relation to murder, murderer, abomination, victim, justice, judgement, mercy, etc. so, while following pro-life, God’s Word has no power as its meaning has been desecrated!
So, just as pro-life’s wicked ideology opposes God and protects abortion, the “lukewarm(ness)” of American “Christianity,” allows us to say we are Christian while, in reality, we continue to ignore even the greatest cries that come out of heaven.
But, God gives us so many warnings throughout Scripture about, “Bad company corrupts good character,” have nothing to do with those who are in darkness, those who are wicked, even those who profess to be Christian but who are idle, “Now we command you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you keep away from any brother who is walking in idleness and not in accord with the tradition that you received from us.”
There is a saying, “Show me who you are with and I will tell you who you are!”
When you surround yourselves with other lukewarm 'Christians, who is going to rebuke, admonish or encourage you when you are not on the righteous path? They can’t because they are not either! You are comparing yourselves to other “dead men” (including your own parents and grandparents!), your church leadership and trusting your hearts, instead of testing everything and everyone, to God’s Word, as that is the standard to test all things.
And, if what you are doing, your parents, your children, your church, etc. (or not doing!), is contradicting God’s Word, you either need to REPENT and get right with God, or stop calling yourself a Christian! And, if your family, friends or church leadership is condoning, approving, accepting, encouraging your sin, you need to cut them off and look for the “few” on the narrow way who are producing the fruits of Holy Scripture, including the greatest cries coming out of heaven!
As one leader stated recently, “Most ‘Christians’ who attend church weekly, do not even know any genuine Christians!”
